Description: In this talk, Dr. Kim Fortun will walk participants through the Platform for Experimental, Collaborative Ethnography (PECE, pronounced “peace”), an open-source, freely accessible digital space designed by and for qualitative researchers. PECE supports qualitative data preservation, curation and annotation; collaborative data analysis; and creative forms of scholarly communication.
Bio: Dr. Kim Fortun?is a Professor in the University of California Irvine’s Department of Anthropology, director of the EcoGovLab and Research Coordinator for the PECE Lab. Fortun is an interdisciplinary, qualitative researcher specializing in comparative studies of environmental knowledge, injustice and governance.
