Description: In this talk Moyo Sogaolu and Mohamed Fathalla will discuss research data management (RDM) in the social sciences. They go over what data management looks like, the “reproducibility crisis” in social science research, and how you can improve your data management practices via a data management plan. Then, they discuss domain specific issues in RDM that you can address for better research quality.
Bios: Mohamed Fathalla is a course developer and a PhD candidate in the mechanical engineering department at McMaster University. His objective is to have a multidisciplinary understanding of science and engineering and help make it possible for others to understand and use. Moyo Sogaolu is a PhD candidate in economics at McMaster University. Her research focuses mainly on labour economics and the disparities faced by different groups of individuals in the labour market. She is an empirical research enthusiast passionate about using data to explore labour market issues.
