Description: Dr. Brodeur will engage in a conversation with Spark’s Executive Director Allison Van about the extent and nature of the issues that challenge the accumulation of robust and consistent findings on well researched topics, the variety of efforts addressing these challenges, and what researchers can do to ensure their work is directly contributing to the production of scientific knowledge.
Bio: Abel Brodeur is an Associate Professor in the Department of Economics at the University of Ottawa. He received a Ph.D. in Economics at Paris School of Economics. He is the chair of the Institute for Replication. His research focuses on open science, publication bias and replication.
