Description: Survey research on migrants is notoriously challenging. Social-networking sites’ ability to micro-target advertisements combined with their near-global reach makes them an attractive option. But how good is the data thus collected? I will present findings from the McGill study of Nigerians at Home and Abroad – a unique survey of the Nigerian diaspora in 10 countries around the world.

Currently he is the PI of the “Tajribati Canada Study” – a longitudinal study of 2000 Syrians resettled to Canada and the “Study of Nigerians at Home and Abroad” – a global study of the Nigerian diaspora and its engagements with the home-country.
