360[4]Youth: Program Evaluation [Project Profile]
Client Initiative Description:
The Youth CAN collective impact group implemented, with funding from YESS federal youth employment support program, a youth workforce development program that incorporates elements including arts-based soft skills training, access to an occupational therapist and counsellor, and a wide range of wraparound supports and services, as well as a supported-work placement.
What We Did:
360[4]Youth was an innovative youth employment support program run by the YouthCAN network. We evaluated the impact on participants both regarding employment, and their development of employment-readiness skills and conditions.
Our Approach:
This project provided the evidence base to substantiate or refute the superior impact of the 360[4]Youth model relative to standard youth supported work programs, providing evidence of the program’s impact, both on youth employment and on the conditions that increase or decrease the probability of sustainable employment.
Significance & Impact:
The 360[4]Youth model was unique in many ways, teaching cutting edge digital and online media skills, providing a wide range of wrap-around services, and employing an Occupational Therapist to support the transition to work and placements as they occurred.
